What is Ignition Interlock?

Thousands of people each year get arrested for DWI's and most need an Ignition Interlock in order to drive legally.

Ignition Interlock is a breathalyzer on a vehicles ignition system. In order for the car to start, the driver of the vehicle must provide a clean (less than .020) breath test. Once a clean test has been provided, the ignition interlock allows the vehicle to start.

Drivers who are revoked or cancelled as a result of a DWI, are eligible to return to driving with the ignition interlock installed in their vehicle. Once installed and having completed the approval process, drivers then will be valid to drive on either a limited license or with full privileges for the remainder of their revocation/cancellation period.
